Terms of Service
1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of all desktop applications published by iyulab under the Forge Tools brand ("Software"), including all current and future products in the Forge-x family.
By installing or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
2. Nature of the Software
Forge Tools applications are locally-installed desktop utilities. All data processing, including AI/ML inference, occurs on your local machine. iyulab does not operate application servers for data processing, and your project files remain entirely on your device.
iyulab does not operate servers that receive or process user data. License activation is performed locally on your device using cryptographic validation, and does not require an internet connection.
3. License Tiers
3.1 Free
The Free tier provides access to all core features of the Software with quantitative limits (e.g., number of projects, data volume) and watermarked output. No payment or registration is required.
3.2 License (Annual)
The License tier is a paid annual subscription that removes quantitative limits, watermarks, and enables premium customization features. The license is valid for one (1) year from the date of activation and must be renewed for continued access to License-tier features. Upon expiration, the Software reverts to Free-tier functionality.
3.3 PAYG (Pay As You Go)
The PAYG tier provides access to server-side computing features such as cloud LLM inference and AI-assisted analysis. PAYG is billed based on actual usage. PAYG features require an internet connection. This tier is planned for future release.
PAYG computing services process your input data for the sole purpose of returning results to you. iyulab does not store, retain, or use your data beyond the scope of the immediate request.
4. Offline Use
The Software is designed to work fully offline. An internet connection is not required to install, launch, or use the Software, nor to activate a license. You may use the Software on air-gapped or corporate intranet environments without limitation.
An internet connection is only required for: (a) checking for software updates, (b) transmitting telemetry data (if enabled), and (c) using PAYG server-side features (future).
5. Telemetry
The Software collects limited telemetry data to maintain and improve product quality. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on what is collected and how it is used.
- Essential telemetry (app start, app quit, crash/error reports) is collected automatically as stated in these Terms. This data is necessary for maintaining software stability.
- Optional telemetry (feature usage, UI flow analytics) is collected only after your explicit consent, which you may grant or revoke at any time in the Settings page.
6. Intellectual Property
The Software and all associated intellectual property are owned by iyulab. Your license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Software in accordance with these Terms.
All content you create using the Software (project files, reports, exports) is and remains your property. iyulab claims no ownership or rights over your content.
7. Restrictions
You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software; (b) redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software; (c) circumvent or tamper with the license validation mechanism; (d) use the Software for any purpose that violates applicable laws.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. iyulab does not warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use the Software at your own risk.
The Software may include AI-generated suggestions and analysis results. These outputs are provided as aids and should not be used as the sole basis for critical decisions. Professional judgment and verification remain the responsibility of the user.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, iyulab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software.
10. Changes to Terms
iyulab may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Software's update mechanism or on the Forge Tools website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
